Start with the import scenario
A useful landed-cost model names the exact vehicle version, model year, powertrain, steering position, quantity, Incoterm, loading method and destination port. A unit price without these fields cannot support a purchasing decision.
Build the cost stack
Separate vehicle value, inland movement in China, inspection, documentation, port charges, ocean freight, insurance, destination handling, duty, levy, tax, clearing and inland delivery. Use current advice from a licensed Nigerian customs professional for tariff classification and charges.
Test the assumptions
Run at least base, adverse freight and delayed-clearance scenarios. Compare container utilization and RoRo where both are operationally possible. Add financing and exchange-rate exposure instead of hiding them in a margin line.
Decision output
The output should be a version-controlled assumption sheet, a list of figures that require local confirmation, and a maximum acceptable purchase price. Tormays can supply shipment and vehicle inputs; the importer validates local taxes and clearing costs.
