Container and RoRo decisions depend on vehicle dimensions, quantity, sailing options, port handling, damage risk, schedule and destination capability. There is no universal best method.
Plan physical loading
Confirm vehicle dimensions and weights, loading method, battery state requirements where relevant, lashing points, protection materials and key handling. A theoretical fit is not a loading plan.
Control the evidence
Agree pre-shipment condition records, loading photos or video, seal information, document handover and exception reporting. Evidence should be time-linked to the shipment.
Calculate total impact
Compare not just ocean freight but origin handling, destination charges, demurrage exposure, unloading capability and the operational cost of schedule variability.
